Fenbendazole Joe Tippens Protocol: A Step-by-Step Guide (2025)
Joe Tippens founded the protocol (1) after he was told a story about a scientist at Merck Animal Health that had been performing cancer research on mice. The research included injecting different types of cancers into different mice body parts. The scientists discovered, through trial and error, a product in their canine product line, fenbendazole, that was batting 1.000 in killing these different cancers in the mice. The scientist was later diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and was given a grim prognosis of only three months to live. She decided to try the fenbendazole, and after six weeks, showed a clean scan.
Joe Tippens had been initially diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. The cancer later spread to his neck, right lung, stomach, liver, bladder, pancreas and tail bone. Like the scientist from Merk Animal Hospital, Joe was told he only had three months to live. In 2017, after hearing the story of the scientist who treated her cancer with a canine drug, Joe decided he was going to do the same. However, in addition to taking the fenbendazole, Joe added his own ingredients to the regimen (curcumin, CBD oil, and vitamin E), thus creating the Joe Tippens Cancer Protocol.
Disclaimer: We in no way endorse the Joe Tippens Cancer Protocol as a cure for cancer, and as always, you should consult your physician before starting any new medications or treatment plans.
What Is Fenbendazole?
Fenbendazole is a broad spectrum anthelmintic used against gastrointestinal parasites including: giardia, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, the tapeworm genus Taenia (but not effective against Dipylidium caninum, a common dog tapeworm), pinworms, aelurostrongylus, paragonimiasis, strongyles, and strongyloides that can be administered to sheep, cattle, horses, fish, dogs, cats, rabbits, most reptiles, freshwater shrimp tanks as planaria and hydra treatments, as well as seals.Fenbendazole Protocol – A Step-by-Step Guide
They have developed some patented technologies that they apply to specific classes of plant extracts and botanicals that dramatically enhance delivery of those ingredients into the bloodstream at exponential levels.
Over the months we have met together, and I have performed extensive due diligence on what they can offer. We’ve discussed a 3-pathway approach and philosophy for cellular support through supplementation that I believe will complement fenbendazole greatly.

Update from October 28, 2021 blogpost (summary)
- Fenbendazole 222 mg (1 gm of Panacur™ or Safeguard™) per day every day.
- Note if you are using liquid - most liquids are 100 mg/ml. You would take 2.2 ml of the liquid.
- Onco Adjunct™ Pathway 1™ - 2-4ml 2 times a day depending on your weight.
- Onco Adjunct™ Pathway 2™ - 3 capsules 2 times a day only when you are off chemo.
- Onco Adjunct™ Pathway 3™- With each meal - 1 (one) capsule with a light meal and 2 (two) capsules with a heavy meal if you are trying to starve your cancer of sugars.
- NEW - Onco Adjunct™ Pathway 4™- 2 Capsules twice a day.
1. Fenbendazole: One Packet a Day
It is advised to purchase Panacur C (powder) brand only, as it's regulated and has been consistent in third-party lab results.
2. Onco Adjunct Pathway 1: CBD, Frankincense and Nano C60 Carrier
In my research of Hemp extracts – Onco Adjunct Pathway 1 – product hits all of the important qualities for a hemp extract. First the product is cryo-extracted, this preserves the terpenes and the non-decarboxylated cannabinoids.
The Onco Adjunct Pathway 1 is a unique combination of Cryo Extracted Hemp, with Middle Eastern frankincense essential oils and the Nano C60 carrier, all in one tincture.
Some people may wish to stay with the previously recommended Forgotten Trails CBD from Pharmacy Plus at mcadoorandy@gmail.com and they will continue to supply that as well.
3. Onco Adjunct Pathway 2: Curcumin and Quercetin
Specifically, Onco Adjunct Pathway 2 is a combination of 300 mg of Clinical Grade UltraCurcumin, 200 mg of Clinical grade UltraQuercetin and 100 mg of Frankincense powder. There is a lot I could share about the cellular pathways that Curcumin, Quercetin and Frankincense affect, I will leave that to another time.
4. Onco Adjunct Pathway 3: Berberine
None of you have heard me recommend Berberine up to this point, even though many researchers have recommended it. Much like Frankincense, Curcumin and Quercetin, Berberine also is not bio-available into the blood stream. Something this company’s LPS technology solves.5. Onco Adjunct Pathway 4 (New)
"I have eliminated Vitamin E as a required part of the protocol as there are simply too many instances (eg, blood thinners) where it needs to be eliminated, and it is the least important of the items."
What brand of fenbendazole did Joe Tippens protocol contain?
In the protocol described by Joe Tippens, a brand called Panacur C was used along with other components like CBD. The usage of Panacur c for humans then started to gain popularity after Joe’s story went viral. Fenbendazole belongs to a class of microtubular-level destabilizing agents.Like other benzimidazoles (e.g., albendazole, mebendazole), fenbendazole has shown significant results in treating cancer. Although very few studies have been conducted on the topic, utilization of Panacur C for cancer treatment is considered safe.
Panacur C dog dewormer compared to other fenbendazole brands
Fenbendazole is distributed by many brands. Panacur C is a popular cancer-treating option nowadays. It doesn’t matter which brand you use as long as you are getting a calculated 222 mg dosage of fenbendazole.Panacur C is the most popular dog dewormer, it is made by a company named Merck. There are two versions of fenbendazole distributed by this company. One is called Safeguard which is specifically designed for deworming house pets, while Panacur C is designed for setting farms.
Fenben Lab is a company that distributes fenbendazole to the consumers worldwide. This company sells fenbendazole in the form of powder just without any fillers.
Homelab Vet is another company that distributes fenbendazole. They offer fenbendazole in many forms like powder, liquids and oral tablets. This company is based in Ukraine and offers worldwide shipping.
Sigma-Aldrich, which is considered the biggest chemical product manufacturer as well as supplier in the world. It also distributes fenbendazole. This company mainly focuses on producing analytical quality products that are mainly used for research purposes.
Most of these products are available online and can be easily bought on websites like Amazon. These products can also be found in local pharmacies.

FAQs: Fenbendazole Joe Tippens Protocol
Is Joe Tippens still alive?
As of April 2025, Joe Tippens was reported to be alive and in remission from cancer, as noted in sources like Heal Navigator:@JoeTippen*, dated April 18 and 22, 2025, showed him actively sharing content about his protocol and discussing ivermectin's potential in cancer treatment.
Can fenbendazole be taken in tablet, liquid or powder?
Fenbendazole is available in powder (Panacur). There may be other formulations available, but those are the primary
products that patients are using.
Is it safe for humans to take fenbendazole?
Since fenbendazole is a veterinary medicine, and is not licensed for human use and there is no specific human safety data available. The similar human forms of this class of medications, mebendazole and albendazole, have been used for parasitic infections for many years and have a good safety record. Fenbendazole has been reported to have a very low degree of toxicity and a high degree of safety in animal experiments. Do not follow the weight-dependent dosing (for dogs) that is given on the back of the packaging!Read More: Fenbendazole side effects in humans
Is fenbendazole toxic for the liver?
Although fenbendazole is generally well tolerated, there have been reports of elevated liver enzymes from the use of fenbendazole, as well as the human medications mebendazole and albendazole.I’ve found a Fenbendazole brand which is not made by Merck, is it ok?
There are a variety of opinions on which product is best, but no research exists that compares the effectiveness of various formulations in humans. Merck and Safeguard are well established companies whose products have been safety tested in animals and used by veterinarians for many years.Would the fenbendazole protocol work with conventional treatment? - chemotherapy?
Yes, fenbendazole has the potential to synergize with conventional treatments, and possibly enhance treatment response. Some aspects of the protocol, such as vitamin E and curcumin, may interfere with chemotherapy and radiation due to their anti-oxidant properties. Some people take it 3 day on 4 off, some 1 gram a day, some 2 or even 4 grams a day. What is the correct dosage?
Joe Tippens, who popularized the use of Fenbendazole for cancer, recommends 222 mg for three consecutive days, then four days off. There are many people who take larger doses, more frequently. Since Fenbendazole is not licensed for the treatment of cancer in humans, there is no correct dose that is supported by research, pharmacists or physicians. The dose you choose to take should be assessed based on your other medications and treatments, your type of cancer, prognosis, organ function and lab values. How long do I need to be on this protocol?
This will be up to you based on your treatment response to the protocol. It is reported that Joe Tippens continues to use the protocol for prevention. How do I know when it is time to dose up?
This is an individual decision based on treatment response, tolerance, other treatments/medications and lab values.Do you have to remove sugar and carbs for Joe Tippens protocol?
Q&A Session with Joe Tippens (January 18, 2023)
What’s Joe Tippens doing in 2022 to stay cancer free?
One of the contributors from CancerDefeated.com met Joe in person and interviewed him in April 2022. Here’s what she discovered…Joe has scaled back to three days a week on the FenBen, now that he’s been cancer-free for five years. He recommends staying on the seven-day fenbendazole protocol till you’re cancer-free for at least three years.
Based on his extensive research, he’s added things to his protocol. including Frankincense and berberine. All products are in a much more bioavailable form, too. He notes that getting absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream is a bigger problem than most people realize. His new protocol helps address this problem.
Joe spent much of 2021 collaborating with scientists and M.D.’s in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical space, to develop processes that dramatically improve nutrient delivery into the bloodstream at previously unheard-of levels.
Here’s the three-pronged approach he uses in 2022 (R):
1: Support healthy cell division. Joe consumes cryogenically extracted CEM™ Hemp. Getting the terpenes and cannabinoids from full-spectrum hemp is critical to gaining its best benefits. The product is now cryo-extracted to preserve these substances. It also includes Frankincense and a Nano MCT oil.
2: Support healthy cell life cycles and clearance of dead cells with curcumin. Curcumin was always part of Joe’s protocol. He previously used the most bioavailable curcumin product he could find. He cringes when he relates how much he was depending on a nutrient that’s so extremely challenging to absorb, while fighting a deadly disease. The new product he uses is light years ahead in terms of absorption – at least six times better – thanks to new technology.
3. Support optimal cellular glucose metabolism with berberine. Berberine is known for its effects on insulin resistance and the normalization of blood glucose levels. Since cancer cells use glucose to grow and spread, berberine helps starve those cancer cells. (Incidentally, he also recommends you strip sugar from your diet, but admits he’s poor at practicing what he preaches.)
Fenbendazole Enhancing Anti-Tumor Effect: A Kidney Cancer Case Series
Despite multiple anecdotal stories and news outlet reports for its efficacy in treating metastatic cancer, the clinical literature behind utilizing FBZ (fenbendazole) as a potential anti-neoplastic agent remains nonexistent. Existing scientific studies have primarily studied its mechanism of action through the use of animal models. In a study published in Clin Oncol Case Rep (2020), researchers from Stanford describe three cases where patients achieved complete responses, including two who experienced progression after multiple lines of therapy, when FBZ was used alone or in combination with standard therapies.Exceptional Repositioning of Dog Dewormer: Fenbendazole Fever

- Our aim here isn't to replace your doctors' advice. It is intended as a sharing of knowledge and information. Do take note that most treatments are not 100% protective or curative against cancer. It's a continuous struggle between the immune system and the cancer cells. Cancer treatments are meant to assist the immune system in this battle.
- Cancer treatment should be part of a multi-modal approach in order to provide the best possible outcome. Diet and lifestyle changes are meant to run alongside conventional treatment. They are complementary, not alternative. That said, there is no miracle diet or treatment that can cure all cancers.

I had gastric bypass surgery in 2000 and have recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.. I am following your protocol but wondering if it should be modified for my bypass?
ReplyDeleteYou fail to mention that Joe also did Keytruda and radiation. I'm not saying that those did anything for him, but still, full transparency is nice. For turbo cancer or advanced cancer or very aggressive cancer the dosage should be 2mg per kg of Ivermectin according to Dr Makis.
ReplyDeleteI have spots on my liver and lungs which have be diagnosed as leimyosarcoma. I've not seen reference in any article relating to this sarcoma. Would Joe Tippens protocol work for this type cancer?
ReplyDeleteI can’t speak for leimyosarcoma, but I had my 9 year old Whippet on 1 gram of Safe Guard Fenbendazole for Hemangiosarcoma, the Vet gave her 3 to 4 weeks max due to the 40 lemon size tumors she had. I decided on the 3 days on 4 days off and about 6 months the tumors were gone and my dog lived for a year & 1/2. Unfortunately I had to put her down from a spinal injury but the Fenbendazole worked really well for my Daisy girl. I would be taking fenbendazole and getting off all sugar and go to a plant base juice diet if I was diagnosed with any cancer, but that’s me! Hope this helps!
DeleteMy brother has Liver Cancer. Very aggressive and half the size of his liver. Drs basically sent him home with a "nothing we can do" speech. Would Joe's treatment help?
ReplyDelete...not to sound rude, but would Joe's treatment hurt ?
DeleteHave your brother seek appointment with MD Anderson, Liver regenerates, my colleague had liver cancer and went to MD Anderson and he is now 12 years in remission.
ReplyDeleteI was diagnosed with NSCLC in Jul 2023. Current treatments have reduced my CEA numbers from 330 to 24 and now I’m doing radiation on my R lung which may help reduce the tumor size even more. My question, is there anyone who had this treatment for NSCLC besides Docetaxel?
ReplyDeleteMy wife has GBM right temporal lobe. Had surgery to removed 3cm tumor in November 24. Did SOC radiation and temozolomide.
ReplyDeleteHad a follow up MRI last week and now showing a 1cm and 11cm regrowth.
Will this protocol help her?
