How Carragelose™ Works To Eliminate Cold & Flu Viruses

  1. Forms a protective layer on the surface of the nasal lining.
  2. Binds/traps the viruses, hindering their spread and multiplication

Directions


1. Blow your nose gently.

 
2. Remove the protection cap, shake the bottle and pump the spray a few times until a fine mist comes out.
3. Sit up with your head tilted slightly forward and to breathe out slowly.
4. Close one nostril and gently insert the nozzle into the other
5. Gently squeeze the pump as you breathe in. 1 spray into each nostril 3 times a day.
 
6. Repeat steps 1 to 6 for the other nostril.
 
7. Use 1 spray for each nostril, three times per day.

BETADINE® COLD DEFENSE NASAL SPRAY is an innovative treatment for early intervention and treatment of common cold and flu-like illness.

2. Does BETADINE® COLD DEFENSE NASAL SPRAY relieve common cold symptoms?

BETADINE® COLD DEFENSE works by an antiviral effect. It traps and eliminates viruses, thereby have effects on symptom relief. Our studies have looked at total symptoms and we have demonstrated that BETADINE® COLD DEFENSE will reduce the total symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, sore throat, etc. when given as an early intervention for treatment of common cold and flu-like illness.

3. How long should BETADINE® COLD DEFENSE NASAL SPRAY be used? Is it well tolerated?

The recommendation is for up to 7 days.

The concentration of BETADINE® Cold Defense for adult and paediatric is 1.2 mg/ml.86 Whilst the concentration is the same for both adults and kids, the spray mechanism is designed to deliver a smaller volume for kids noses.

7. What is the recommended dosage of BETADINE® COLD DEFENSE NASAL SPRAY?

The spray comes in two formulations: the adult spray and the kid spray. The adult spray is 1 spray into each nostril 3 times per day. For the kid spray, which delivers a smaller dose, 2-3 sprays into each nostril, 3 times a day.

8. What is the duration of the antiviral effect of BETADINE® COLD DEFENSE NASAL SPRAY after usage?

The antiviral effect in vivo, in human beings, the duration has not been measured, but we do know that when BETADINE® COLD DEFENSE is administered 3 times per days. It is effective in reducing severity of symptoms.
