A  study  (published in August 2022) demonstrated that people who used a normal saline nasal irrigation were 19 times less likely to require hospitalization for treatment of COVID-19 than the national rate of hospitalizations. You may be familiar with nasal irrigation when it's referred to as using a Neti Pot. Data from a study 1   published in April 2022 in JACC: Heart Failure reveals that people with Type 2 diabetes who used omega-3 supplements had a lower incidence of hospitalization with heart failure. Heart failure is a form of heart disease in which the heart experiences ventricular dysfunction. The heart is separated into four chambers. The bottom two chambers called the ventricles, pump blood to the lungs or the body. 2  When there is left ventricular failure, a person experiences fatigue and shortness of breath. With right ventricular failure a person may experience abdominal and peripheral fluid buildup. Heart failure can affect one or both sides of the heart.
