Ivermectin, Fenbendazole and Mebendazole: A Peer-Reviewed Protocol for Cancer Treatment

Image
Medically Reviewed by: OneDayMD Editorial Team Last Updated: April 2026 In September 2024, a first-of-its-kind protocol utilizing ivermectin, fenbendazole, and mebendazole for cancer treatment was peer-reviewed and officially published in the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine . Led by researchers Dr. Ilyes Baghli, Dr. Pierrick Martinez, and FLCCC's Dr. Paul Marik, the protocol applies antiparasitic drugs — originally developed to combat parasites — to cancer treatment, building on emerging preclinical and clinical evidence of their anticancer properties. This trio of repurposed drugs has been shown to disrupt the growth of cancer cells, particularly by targeting microtubules, the essential structures that allow cancer to multiply uncontrollably. What makes this protocol even more potent is the synergistic effect when these drugs are used together, creating a powerful new affordable weapon against cancer. Enhanced Ivermectin and Mebendazole Cancer Protocol Targeting the Mitochondrial-Stem Cell Connection in Cancer Therapy (2025)

Image
Abstract The Mitochondrial-Stem Cell Connection (MSCC) theory posits that impaired oxidative phosphorylation (OxPhos) in stem cells drives the formation of cancer stem cells (CSCs), leading to tumorigenesis, metastasis, and therapy resistance. Building on the original hybrid orthomolecular protocol proposed by Baghli et al., this article presents an enhanced 16-week regimen that incorporates recent advances in mitochondrial targeting and CSC inhibition. Improvements include phased implementation for better tolerability, addition of atovaquone, curcumin and berberine for synergistic effects, intermittent fasting to enhance autophagy, and personalized monitoring. The protocol combines orthomolecular agents, repurposed drugs, dietary interventions, and adjunctive therapies to restore mitochondrial function, deplete fermentable fuels, and eradicate CSCs. Supported by preclinical and clinical evidence, this approach aims to address limitations of standard therapi...

The 7-Layer Metabolic Therapy Cancer Framework: An Integrative Framework Targeting Tumor Metabolism and Cancer Stem Cells (2026)

Image
Table of Contents Introduction The Updated Framework (2026) Foundation: Insulin Resistance Reversal and GLP-1 Optimization Rules Layer 1: Metabolic Dietary Interventions Layer 2: Cancer directed therapy (Standard conventional treatment) Layer 3: Repurposed Drugs and Nutraceuticals (Adjunct) Layer 4: Mitochondrial Targeting Layer 5: Targeting Cancer Stem Cells Layer 6: Immune Metabolism Support Layer 7: Lifestyle and Metabolic Optimization Conclusion Abstract If cancer were driven by a single pathway, one drug would cure it. But as outlined in The 10 Hallmarks of Metabolic Cancer , cancer cells are: Metabolically flexible Highly adaptive Able to evade both drugs and the immune system This is why most treatments fail long-term. The solution?  Layered intervention. This review proposes a conceptual seven-layer metabolic intervention framework ...
